“Wuthering Heights” has been one of the most successful films of the season. Emerald Fennell’s sensual reimagining has sparked a veritable fashion craze, from make-up to romantic and gothic looks that blend velvet, lace and theatrical flair.
There is no doubt, however, that part of the success is down to the captivating leads: Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi. The chemistry between the two stars has carried over from the silver screen to the world of beauty. Both, in fact, have been chosen by CHANEL to represent two of the house’s iconic fragrances.
The actress who portrayed the indomitable character of Catherine Earnshaw on screen is the new ambassador for Chanel N°5: perhaps the most famous perfume in the world. Created in 1921, N°5 represents a revolutionary concept in perfumery: no longer tied to a single flower, but to a more sophisticated composition. Its main notes include, in fact, aldehydes, jasmine, May rose and a warm base of vanilla and sandalwood.
What makes N°5 so special is its timelessness: it doesn’t follow trends, it transcends them. It is no coincidence that, in the latest advertising campaign, Margot Robbie appears exactly as such: radiant, naturally elegant and embodying a contemporary femininity that evokes freedom and independence. She is a woman who makes her own choices, who does not follow but sets the rules.
Jacob Elordi, meanwhile, has been chosen to be the face of Bleu de Chanel, which, launched in 2010, has quickly become a modern classic. The fragrance is characterised by a balance between freshness and depth: citrus and aromatic notes blend with a spicy heart and a woody base of cedar and incense.
The actor who played the passionate Heathcliff here embodies a more introspective and authentic masculinity. CHANEL thus brings together one of the most beloved couples on the silver screen, entrusting them with the prestigious role of ambassadors for two of its most iconic fragrances. The message is clear: perfume is not just something you wear, but something that defines who we are.
