You can never have too much denim: this is the philosophy that guided CHANEL in creating a make-up collection entirely dedicated to the most iconic and versatile fabric ever. After all, who said jeans should only be worn as clothing? In this exclusive capsule collection, denim abandons traditional silhouettes to transform itself into colour, light and texture to be worn on the face, redefining the boundaries between fashion and beauty.
Designed by Valentina Li, the collection captures not only the infinite shades of blue (from the most delicate to the most intense) but also the authentic soul of a material that, season after season, continues to represent freedom and personal expression. "I wanted to send a message with this limited edition," said Li. "To all the girls who wear this fabric with intention. To all those who are not afraid to be effortless and, at the same time, full of personality. To strong girls with clear opinions who are not afraid to show them."
It is precisely this declaration of intent that makes the capsule collection more than just an aesthetic exercise: it is a manifesto of style and character.
Among the star products are a light-reflecting blue powder highlighter and a lipstick in an unusual Baby Blue shade, which gives lips an icy finish with a bold appeal.
The result immediately evokes the aesthetics of the 1990s, reinterpreted in a contemporary and sophisticated key. Even the eyeshadow palettes speak the language of denim, covering all its shades, from the most delicate light blue to the most intense dark blue, to create versatile and striking looks.
After all, jeans are universally recognised as a passe-partout: they look good on everything and with everything.
Even the iconic La Crème Main is dressed up for the occasion with a denim clutch bag that immediately becomes a must-have accessory, practical and cool, to carry with you at all times. Rebellious and unconventional by nature, yet functional and evocative, denim transcends eras and generations without losing its relevance. It is therefore no surprise that the brand ambassador for the collection is Lily-Rose Depp, internationally renowned model and actress, daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis.
She shares an artistic path with her mother that has led her to embody, with naturalness and charisma, the face and body of the French fashion house. Resistant to time and fashion trends, the cult fabric par excellence is thus preparing for a new revolution: no longer just to be worn, but to be experienced on the skin, as a statement of identity and style.
