Erling Haaland returns to Galleria Cavour thanks to Breitling

Erling Haaland was one of the celebrities to walk through the porticoed entrance of Galleria Cavour for a luxury shopping spree, taking a much-photographed stroll through its most prestigious boutiques. At the time, this went viral online and in the press, helping to reinforce the allure of our shopping centre, which continues to be a major attraction and the pride of the city of Bologna.
Now, the star is, figuratively speaking, back in the spotlight thanks to Bartorelli jewellers. Indeed, he is the face chosen by Breitling for its new advertising campaign dedicated to the Chronomat collection. The Norwegian striker, a star at Manchester City, is one of the most accomplished footballers on the international stage.
His reliability, precision and commanding presence make him the perfect embodiment of the qualities he shares with the timepieces from the renowned luxury watchmaker, which, for over a century, has been crafting watches designed for those seeking exquisite craftsmanship and a distinctive aesthetic. The Chronomat collection was launched in the 1980s and has evolved over time whilst retaining its identity. The design is instantly recognisable thanks to the bezel featuring its characteristic horsemen, the Rouleaux bracelet and its robust construction.
The choice of Haaland as the face of the campaign is no coincidence. The footballer embodies a new generation of champions: imaginative, determined and capable of displaying extraordinary talent without compromising on practicality. If we consider that every movement on the pitch is planned down to the smallest detail, just as every component of a Breitling chronograph is designed to ensure precision and reliability over time, then Haaland becomes the symbol of a performance-oriented approach and a constant quest for improvement: qualities shared by both top-level sport and fine watchmaking.
The advertising campaign thus tells the story of two forms of excellence united by the same ambition: to constantly push beyond one’s limits; and, by a twist of fate, it once again links the face of the great football champion with that of Galleria Cavour.
