FAI AUTUMN DAYS

The FAI Autumn Days, for all lovers of art and culture, are a real unmissable event. The institution, which since 1975 has been at the forefront for the protection and enhancement of the national landscape and urban heritage, this year has chosen Palazzo Vassé Pietramellara as the flagship of its usual seasonal appointment, giving the possibility, to the numerous members, to be able to visit it in all its magnificence, accompanied by the careful and timely story of its volunteers. The patrician residence, now owned by the lawyer Gioia Martini, constitutes the historic portion of Galleria Cavour: some of its precious frescoes still adorn the ceilings of the boutiques to which it is connected.
Built in the sixteenth century, it has been the protagonist, over the centuries, of the vicissitudes of the noble Vassé family and has been the setting for the political and cultural history of the city. Today it is mainly used for parties and private events: this is why this exceptional opening to the public was immediately received with great curiosity among the association’s admirers. In fact, 1,300 visitors wanted to discover the charm represented by the artistic wonders contained within it, such as, for example, the evocative room of the Meridiana. Reported in the main national and local newspapers, the initiative confirmed the combination of art and culture that our places continue to represent for the city of Bologna.
