Information on the use of video surveillance systems in the Cavour Gallery

The La Martini SRL (hereinafter "Cavour Gallery" and / or "owner") informs you that in its own section of the Cavour Gallery in Bologna and at its entrances (via Farini and via Goidanich) it has installed video surveillance cameras, indicated, which record images.

The Cavour Gallery has decided to proceed with this data processing to protect its assets from any vandalism or, in any case, illegal acts and, if necessary, also for the safety of the people passing through it. The legal basis of the processing is therefore referred to the pursuit, in the legitimate interest of the data controller, to protect their assets and to protect the safety of all those who pass through the Gallery.

Obviously, the preservation of the safety and of assets cannot be separated from respecting the fundamental rights and freedom of an individual. First of all the right to the protection of personal data, which is why the owner has proceeded to install the aforementioned video surveillance systems, in compliance with the EU Regulation 2016/679 ("General Data Protection Regulation"), Legislative Decree of June 30, 2003 n.196, as amended by the Legislative Decree of August 8, 2018 n.101, of art.4 of the law of May 20, 1970 n.300 and, not less important than the prov. of the Guarantor of April 8, 2010 and subsequent practice of the Guarantor for the protection of personal data.

The video surveillance cameras forming part of the system are installed inside the Gallery and at the entrances of the same, and are all indicated by specific signs.

The video surveillance system consists of fixed cameras with predetermined framing angles, modifiable only by authorized personnel. The system is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The images recorded are stored for up to 72 hours. After this period the images are overwritten thus automatically deleted from the system.

The images will not be disseminated in any way or communicated to third parties, except in cases where it is necessary that they be available to judicial authorities, investigative and public security for the sole purpose of pursuing the safety purposes indicated above, or in the event of an express request by the authorities themselves.

People who pass through the areas subject to video surveillance are duly informed of the presence of the cameras, and of the subsequent processing of the data collected, by specific signs visible in all environmental lighting conditions.

Cavour Gallery guarantees that no cameras have been installed on premises used purely for working activities, the only purposes of the video surveillance and video recording system are those clearly indicated above.

In any case, the owner guarantees that any party involved in the processing of data can exercise the right to access and, where foreseen, the modification and cancellation of the processed data, as well as the right to request the limitation and/or opposition of the processing of the data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint or report to the supervisory authority of the EU State in which you reside, work or in which the violation has occurred. For Italy it is the Data Protection Authority, for which you can find useful information on the website www.garanteprivacy.it.
