After posing for a Moncler campaign set on the Amalfi Coast back in 2021, Lorenzo Musetti has developed a taste for it and has become the ambassador for another acclaimed Galleria Cavour brand: Bottega Veneta.

On closer inspection, the young tennis player, who is in the top ten of the ATP world rankings and also boasts a bronze medal at the recent Paris Olympics, perfectly embodies the spirit of the fashion house. Born in Carrara, Tuscany, Musetti immediately stood out for his sporting achievements but also for his extraordinary good looks and impeccable style both on and off the court.

The “Craft is our language” campaign is one of the first projects under the guidance of new creative director Louise Trotter and marks an important direction in the fashion house’s new course, which seems to want to proudly emphasise all its craftsmanship. In the main photo, in fact, in addition to the close-up of the handsome tennis player, portrayed in black and white by Alasdair McLellan, particular importance is given to his hands: the same hands that, in the collective imagination, symbolise the craftsmanship that has given rise to the creations that have made the Vicenza-based brand famous throughout the world.

The history of the brand is thus intertwined, even figuratively, with that of its new spokesperson in a union that perfectly describes the values that define Bottega Veneta: refinement, dedication and beauty. The partnership had already been evident on the famous Wimbledon court where, in his match against Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili, Musetti wore a white leather jacket embellished with the maison’s unmistakable woven motif.

Who knows, perhaps the handsome tennis player will decide to give us another lesson in style on the Davis Cup court, where he triumphed here in Bologna just last year. After all, Musetti’s style is essential, elegant and innate, just like that expressed by the creations of the Vicenza-based fashion house. Bottega Veneta could not have chosen a more representative sportsman to highlight its Italian roots and its refined, understated and timeless aesthetic.
