Moncler’s Puffy Summer

Puffy Summer - Moncler

Summer has only just begun, and at Moncler it’s set to be cheerful, colourful and cool! Remo Ruffini’s fashion house has, in fact, decided to focus on the iconic padding of its winter garments, reimagining them to create a summer collection of clothes and accessories designed to be soft, bold and lightweight.

This isn’t just a trend but a genuine invitation to spread your wings with style and imagination because, more than just a fashion statement, Moncler’s Puffy Summer aims to be a state of mind. It’s no coincidence that the promotional campaign for the entire range features inflatable animal sculptures created by designer Andy Hillman and his creative team.

We’d already had a taste of what this season would be like at the last Milan Design Week, where a giant inflatable octopus had brought the 10 Corso Como space to life. Now flamingos, whales, lobsters and seahorses are bringing their cheerful spirit to the brand’s collection and advertising campaigns. Alongside them, this time in the flesh, is actor Jamie Dornan, the brand ambassador tasked with showcasing the line’s playful and carefree looks.

"It’s interesting to see how Moncler’s signature codes, which have always been associated with winter, are being reinterpreted for the summer season. The feeling of warmth and puffiness translates into a lighter, more casual version", comments the Hollywood star.

And on closer inspection, the men’s collection ranges from lighter materials (such as nylon and denim) to windcheaters, shorts and bowling shirts, all strictly in bright, eye-catching colours. For women too, Moncler opts for vibrant colours and pieces that alternate between stripes, florals and Vichy checks, embellished with sophisticated and cheerful details. The message is clear: your wardrobe is a reflection of your soul, and for the Italian fashion house, it’s time to embrace the summer days with a dreamy and carefree spirit.
