Paolo Sorrentino signs the new campaign for Moncler
Moncler is the favourite brand of all mountain fans who do not want to renounce style even at high altitudes. That’s why, with the ski season kicking off during the festive season and which, as per tradition, will reach its peak during the month of February, the brand led by Remo Ruffini has decided to present the Grenoble line in grand style: by relying on Paolo Sorrentino.
The Oscar-winning director signed, in fact, the short film “Winter Can’t Wait” which explores the collection’s archive through an ironic and joyful tale of moments linked to the winter sports season. The result is a passionate portrait that reminds us that the mountains are first and foremost about sharing and that, as in life, even on the slopes what counts is loving and spending time with one’s loved ones.
Sorrentino, a sublime aesthete and skilful storyteller, thus amuses himself by reconstructing typical outdoor activities such as snowboarding, skiing and climbing, within the comfort of home environments: almost as if to remind us that the anticipation of the winter holidays starts in the days leading up to family trips where expectations, emotions and adrenalin are combined.
As well as anticipating the most anticipated moments of the season, the short film offers an overview of the Moncler Grenoble collection, characterised by bold colours, comfortable lines and combinations capable of slaloming between avant-garde and irony with sophisticated skill. The proposals thus manage to please the whole family: from the youngest members to the oldest as if to remind us that the mountains, like the desire to express oneself through clothing, is a passion that knows no limits or age.
The soundtrack of the short film is by Orazio Saracino and Alex Grasso. The captivating storyline, which initially projects the viewer into the atmosphere of a typical mountain resort only to discover that mother, father, children and grandmother are actually still at home, reminds us how Grenoble is an ironic, ingenious and sensitive collection, just like Sorrentino himself, here called upon to explore with his artistic eye the Moncler universe and that of the mountains.
