Prada brings the elegance of subtraction to the catwalk

5 October - 2021

Among the stores present in Galleria Cavour, Prada is certainly one of the brands that best describes Italian tailoring in the world. For this reason, the collections of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons are viewed with great interest by experts in the sector and beyond.

In the Milan fashion show for the presentation of the spring / summer 22 season, we immediately notice that subtraction is the protagonist. Femininity, therefore, no longer plays in the field of seduction but in that of awareness and the intellect, strengthened by the great issues that current events also impose on a sector such as fashion.

Here, then, that less skimpy dresses, linear silhouettes, trains and conceptual forms materialize on the catwalk. The sheath dresses appear almost chaste and then open at the back, the sweaters have bright shades and oversize fit, even the skirts become essential and without frills. The other great novelty is characterized by the subtraction of physical and spatial distances.

The event was, in fact, a twinning between East and West thanks to the innovative idea of simultaneously staging the show both in Milan, at the Fondazione Prada headquarters, and in Shanghai in China. Two distant worlds that in the name of beauty break down cultural and kilometric barriers. Two catwalks that bring the same idea of elegance to the stage.

The ss22 collection by Prada will obviously soon also be present in the Galleria Cavour store, a reference for shopping in the center of Bologna, which has always hosted the highly appreciated creations by Miuccia Prada capable, like few others, of interpreting and telling the evolution of beauty in the course of time.
