The Tulipark flourishes in Bologna

27 April - 2022

Tulipark Bologna

Bologna, like the nearby Florence, Milan and Venice, is becoming more and more interesting destination for visitors and tourists attracted by the historicity of its monuments but also by the exhibitions, shows and attractions.

To the latter category belongs the Tulipark: an expanse of over 250,000 tulips that, since April, reopens to the public after the successful experience of the previous edition.

The visit is confirmed to be of great appeal, also strong from the social success witnessed by the posts of many visitors intent on taking pictures of themselves immersed in an expanse of color and nature. The tour of the park becomes even more exciting thanks to the u-pick collection, or the possibility, for those who wish, to personally collect the flowers, creating their own bouquet. As explained by the guides at the entrance, you can pick your own tulips with bare hands, without the use of special equipment, as long as you respect the surrounding nature and then that the tulips are pulled out of the ground taking care not to extract or damage the bulb.

Inside the park, in a gazebo specially prepared, the staff will wrap them and deliver them to guests. Among the different varieties present in the multicolored expanses of the fields also stands out the very rare black tulip. Flowers, however, are not the only attraction at Tulipark: inspired by the Netherlands, there are selfie-proof installations depicting a windmill or a giant version of a clog, the quintessential symbol of the Netherlands. Entrance is also open to four-legged friends, provided that large dogs are muzzled.

Among flowers and colors, Bologna is preparing to welcome tourists by offering them this new and original attraction. Is there a more emblematic way to welcome Spring? The park will be open until the end of the flowering of the bulbs. Located in Via dell’Arcoveggio 60, it can also be reached by the many buses that leave from the center: therefore also from the vicinity of Galleria Cavour.
