La Vacanza by Versace
As unmissable as it is long-awaited, the selection of garments and accessories from the “La Vacanza” collection, inspired by the dolce vita and the sense of glamour and vivacity of seaside holidays, returns to the Versace boutique in Galleria Cavour.
Light silks, pastel colours and refined accessories surround the Barocco Sea print, the real star of this year’s collection, inspired by the wonders of the ocean and the mythological iconography of classical art, which has always been a must for the brand. Thus, shells, corals and starfish embellish shirts, cardigans, shorts and swimming costumes.
The graphics are designed in colour combinations reminiscent of the summer season and include the use of jacquard, devoré and cool wool fabrics, among others. While playing with brand iconographies such as the Medusa ’95 hardware in gold or silver metal, the collection features soft silhouettes and light silk inserts.
The new pleated dresses are presented in shades of powder pink, beige or sea blue. Prominent among the evening models are cocktail dresses accompanied by raffia accessories. Donatella Versace thus plays with the quintessence of Italian style: impeccable from dusk to dawn on all the occasions that canonically animate and characterise a holiday.
It is no coincidence that the frames of the campaign directed by Salvatore delle Femmine evoke the classic imagery of Italian summers with the protagonists aboard vintage convertible cars or intent on strolling in places that seem to remind us all of the typical postcards of times gone by. Delightfully vintage, yet extremely contemporary, the entire collection seems to move with a refined balance between past and present, proposing looks capable of embodying the spirit and cheerfulness of those holidays that at the end of the season go down in the fondest memories of all our lives.
All that remains, therefore, is to immerse oneself in these exciting atmospheres and let oneself be inspired, even before departure, at the maison’s shop here in Bologna, because as we know: holidays always begin with a suitcase full of dreams.
