Moncler and the sustainability plan

We judge the value of our results also by the way in which we have achieved them, because we are convinced that success is only long-term if it knows how to create shared value“. With these pioneering words, Remo Ruffini, patron of Moncler, perfectly describes the sustainability strategic plan put in place by the group, confirming how environmental and social responsibility are an increasingly integral part of their business model.

Today, in fact, it is becoming essential to take part in the process of global awareness, and progress can no longer be measured only by market numbers, but also by actions and attention towards our planet and the reality that surrounds us. The group is therefore committed to fulfilling the agreements made in the field of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in order to achieve the ambitious goal of zero emissions by 2050.

In addition, a recycling operation of nylon production waste within the production sites has been underway for some time to reach, by 2025, the use of more than 50% of lower impact fabrics and yarns: recycled, organic or from regenerative agriculture.

The traceability of raw materials also remains one of the fundamental points of the Plan, allowing better monitoring of all the components involved in production and consequently protecting the workers involved in the name of Equal Pay, the principle that guarantees equal rights to the professionals involved. Moncler is also committed to supporting the local communities in the production areas with projects of high social value in favour of the community.

The entire plan, even though it has a long time span, is updated annually so as to assess the progress achieved and set new goals for continuous improvement. The Italian maison’s group once again confirms itself as one of the most attentive and sensitive in the concrete pursuit of causes that are now inseparable from the current context in which we live. Confirming its ability to look to the future, Remo Ruffini has understood that for the fashion system, sustainability can no longer be a virtuous optional extra, but a concrete process of continuous improvement.
