Moncler brings Fujiwara’s creations to Galleria Cavour

9 April - 2025

Moncler - Fujiwara

It is an appointment not to be missed that which the Moncler boutique in Galleria Cavour is preparing to give its customers and all fashion enthusiasts. When you are used to proposing collaborations with the biggest names on the international scene, it is not easy to amaze your public.

Remo Ruffini’s brand, however, succeeds again this time thanks to the arrival in store of the exclusive collection created with the legendary Hiroshi Fujiwara, the world godfather of streetwear. Previewed in Shanghai during The City of Genius event, Moncler x FRGMT is in fact the quintessence of the urban spirit influenced by Asian philosophy and K-pop style. In a skilful balance between minimalism and imaginative details, such as the cartoon logo, cardigans, bomber jackets, t-shirts and waistcoats emerge.

It is no coincidence that Fujiwara is considered one of the creatives who have most influenced trends in recent decades. An artist but also a musician and producer, he has succeeded in bringing together seemingly distant worlds such as New York hip hop and Japanese subculture.

In addition to the brand he founded in the late 1980s, GoodEnough, it is worth mentioning that he was one of the main pioneers of branded collaborations, as demonstrated by the successful partnerships with Nike for the HTM line and with Levi’s for the Fenom line.

A legacy of more than thirty years, influenced by encounters with the most important artistic personalities of our time: Malcolm McLaren, manager of the Sex Pistols and husband of Vivienne Westwood, Shawn Stussy of the International Stussy Tribe collective and Nigo, an artist currently involved in a collaboration with Pharrell Williams for Louis Vuitton.

With such premises, it is easy to understand why this collection co-created by him within the Genius project is also so eagerly awaited. The one between the designer and Remo Ruffini’s brand is, in fact, one of the longest-lasting and most representative dialogues in the fashion system in the name of curiosity and love for creativity. The proposals will be in shop for a limited time, until 13 April, so the advice is to be early: fashion does not wait.
