Prada: the Spring/Summer 2025 collection becomes a cartoon sticker

To present the new Spring/Summer 2025 collection, which has just arrived at the Galleria Cavour boutique in Bologna, Prada organised a special event that saw sartorial creativity meet the creativity of the world of comics.
Inside the flagship store, in fact, a real corner inspired by the city’s newsstands and the universe of superheroes in comic format was set up. Miuccia and Raf Simons have thus created fantasy heroines dressed in the same looks as the fashion house’s new collection. The catwalk outfits seen on the catwalk were thus translated into a graphic version and became the outfits of a collector’s sticker-book.
Inside the boxed set, customers were able to find figurines to stick in the special album with the intention of evoking the graphic novels that none of us could resist in our childhood. Fantasy, after all, has always been a fundamental ingredient within the brand’s proposals and the entire collection, this year, was presented as an evasive response to a world dominated by algorithms and strategies.
Unpredictability and escape from the rules are therefore the two key elements in understanding Prada’s creations and it is no coincidence that Miuccia has used the universe of comic book heroes to present them to the public. Anyone, nowadays, can develop the superpower of being himself, defying social conventions and rules that do not belong to him.
Clothes are, in fact, the ultimate expression of our individuality and can give us the power of change. It is also through our choices of look that we assert ourselves and it is from here that opportunities for change finally arise. This is the Prada philosophy brought forth by futuristic sunglasses, space visors, technical fabrics, ugly chic sandals, overlapping looks, mirror details alternating with portholes and sheath dresses embellished with metal rings. It is an evasive and revolutionary collection, capable of introducing us to the superhero that dwells in each of us.
