K-Way shows at the fashion week

18 January - 2023

K-Way settimana moda Milano

K-Way is one of the new brands that has recently joined the prestigious family of Galleria Cavour brands.

After all, with the acquisition of the Turin-based BasicNet group and the arrival of CEO Lorenzo Boglione, the declared objective of the maison was immediately to broaden its horizons in the world of luxury.

The real challenge” said Boglioni “is to be contemporary and faithful to the history of the brand”. In these days, a new, important and historic stage arrives that adds to the brand’s adventure: it is the debut on the catwalks of Milan Fashion Week with an ambitious and successful show.

The collection staged in the industrial spaces of the Talent Garden is R&D, the one that represents innovation and research for the brand, welcomed with enthusiasm and clamor by the fashion industry insiders.

The fashion show was a clear tribute to the places where the history of K-Way started, from the well-known Cafè de la Paix on Place de l’Opéra, here evoked by the details of the identifying garments of the maison such as the anorak, the , the half-zip pullover, the duffle coat and the cape, revisited in a playful and colorful key.

The lines presented range from more voluminous silhouettes to more adherent ones. The same goes for the lengths: the extremes are the masters; either very short or very long. Half sizes are not suitable for the 2023 collection.

A futuristic flavor, however, embraces the use of colors and fabrics: metallic effects are mixed with knit suits or boiled wool capes in the name of sustainable production, attentive to impact environment of the fashion system that recovers recycled nylon materials or archived stock sources. The R&D collection is expanded by futuristic accessories such as recycled sheepskin shoppers or boots. The FW22-23 K-Way is a real declaration of intent in the fashion world destined to leave its mark and will soon also be available at the Bologna boutique.
