Louis Vuitton’s Prefall 2023 Fashion Show
For the first time, Louis Vuitton lands in South Korea and does so with an exceptional show through the presentation of the Prefall 2023 runway show of its women’s collection.
Asia is a world that major luxury brands are increasingly looking to: a source of inspiration but also home to growing markets and a hub of talent and testimonials capable of influencing consumption and trends. An example of this is the increasing presence of brand ambassadors from the world of K-pop.
Here, then, is where the French fashion house’s choice to hold its own fashion show in South Korea appears even more timely and insightful. The entire show also had the creative advice of Hwang Dong-hyuk, director of Squid Game, a Korean series capable of conquering Netflix with record numbers for the platform.
Neither the same nor completely different: the LV Prefall 2023 collection is a story of transitions: between worlds but also between creative flows. Not surprisingly, the show took place along the Jamsugyo Bridge, an indispensable urban link in the heart of Seoul. The models walked down the runway appearing like contemporary warriors among aviator jackets and leather skirts.
Strict geometries, maxi padlock belts and dazzling colors contrasting with black stand out: the long tradition in trunk-making acts as a catalyst in the creative process of the entire clothing collection. The one staged in Seoul is thus a show that aims to be a bridge between cultures but at the same time also a link between high fashion and street style.
The intent is to communicate an idea of femininity capable of appropriating its own space and place in the world with decisiveness and glamour. The collection will soon be available in Louis Vuitton boutiques.
Come and discover the must-haves in Galleria Cavour and be enchanted by this meeting of worlds and cultures.
