Versace revives Hollywood glamour

16 March - 2023

Versace a Los Angeles

We had missed her during the Milan fashion week where her shows always leave their mark on time. The reason for Versace‘s absence from the Italian fashion week was justified by a celebratory catwalk exceptionally organized in the heart of Los Angeles to present the fall/winter 2023 collection at the Pacific Design Center.

The one with Hollywood is, moreover, a historic partnership that it hardly finds equals in the world of fashion: Donatella Versace has in fact always been a point of reference for the musical and cinematographic star system and her brand is practically omnipresent on every self-respecting red carpet.

In fact, punctual, once again, guests and leading stars did not wait long to participate in a front row to envy on the night of the Oscars: Elton John, Cher, Miley Cyrus, Dua Lipa, Anne Hathaway, Lil Nas X, Demi Moore, Paris Hilton, to name a few.

Punctuated by techno sounds, the fashion show was opened by Gigi Hadid, the maison’s leading face for years, who walked the catwalk in a large black evening dress. Black and elegance were, in fact, among the protagonists of this collection ranging from gloves, boots and denim.

A style skilfully balanced between rock and chic, between seduction and elegance, but always with a high level of glamour. Next season’s prints, on the other hand, speak a seductive language: between crocodiles and floral motifs. The geometric necklines are combined with glittering accessories as much as the world of showbiz to which the entire collection seems to be inspired. It is a return to the foundations of the fashion house and to Gianni Versace’s 1995 collection where the watchword was simply one: luxury. Today as then, the references to freedom of expression through the clothes dazzle stars and aficionados of the brand who can’t wait, like us, to admire the creations presented in West Hollywood in the boutique.
