25 October - 2023

Bologna, in the last weekend of October, is preparing to host two prestigious exhibitions.

The first, from 26 to 29 October, will see our city become the capital of vintage cars and motorbikes, thus confirming it as the nerve centre of Motor Valley. This is the first time in forty years that the Bologna exhibition centre has hosted this prestigious kermesse. Expectations, therefore, are high and unlikely to be disappointed given the names and numbers on the field: we are talking about more than 235,000 square metres available and 5,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries worldwide. Obviously, all the big names of the excellence that has made the Emilian territory unique in the world of luxury cars will be present: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani, Ducati.

Among the previews it is known that it will be possible to admire real jewels such as the Berlinetta 195 LM Coupè Superleggera, which represents one of the first Ferrari road cars in the world, or the Alfa Romeo 6C 2500 S Cabriolet Turingia of 1942.
The stand of the Museo dell’Automobile di San Marino in Rio will host, on the other hand, two cars over a century old, while the presence of the important Battilani Collection from Imola, which counts examples of rare beauty and fame, has already aroused great interest. The appointment therefore promises to be an unmissable one for all collectors and enthusiasts.

On the same days, in a special area of the exhibition centre, at the same time as this event, another prestigious exhibition dedicated, however, to the world of collectors’ watches will take place: Time on Show. This is a veritable salon, in the name of refinement and luxury, where enthusiasts will have the opportunity to purchase vintage or collectors’ timepieces from 14 of the most accredited dealers around. Each exhibitor present was carefully screened by the selection committee represented by Davide Parmeggiani and the two inspiring minds behind the entire initiative: Paolo Borgomanero and Auro Montanari. Inside the marvellous exhibition scenario, then, a true VIP Lounge signed Riva has been set up, representing an oasis of pleasure and relaxation, thanks also to the delicious catering service curated by the chefs of Amber, the innovative project signed by Filippo Bottura.

The common thread between classic cars and collectors’ watches is to be found in the common denominator of exclusivity. It is in this context that Galleria Cavour’s presence is also to be found through an iconic promotional installation. With both worlds, in fact, our reality shares precious elective affinities, in the name of a magical atmosphere ready to give timeless emotions: timeless, unique and rare like the objects on display.
